About the Event
This online workshop is facilitated by young but experienced writers who are passionate about writing and how it can be used as a tool for service. It will touch on three genres: POETRY, COMICS and SHORT STORIES.
For each topic, you'll study what the Central Figures of the Faith said about writing, get a chance to ask a professional writer all your questions, and work on a short piece yourself! Best of all, you'll give each other feedback and encouragement each week, so you can continue to become better writers.
DATES: June 27th to July 21st, 2020.
HOURS: Any time you want! Just log in, interact, and make sure you do the assignments on time. Twice a week, though, you will be asked to participate in a live video chat with the group.
COST: None! It's free.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. You must be between 12 and 18 years old to participate, with permission from a parent/legal guardian.
2. You must have access to the internet daily.
3. You must have a Google account to use Google Classroom (you can set one up for free!)
Note: We are capping registration at 50 participants for 2020, so sign up as soon as you can!
