The Young Writer's Endeavor 2023
Join us for a yearly workshop to learn how to express ourselves through the arts! The theme for this year is "Friendship," and we will also talk about #OurStoryIsOne. We will learn about the mediums of "Articles & Comics"!

About the Event
Young Writer's Endeavor is a space for youth to build our powers of expression through the literary arts. Participants joining from around the world will form friendships in an environment of literary rigor. The two week experience is Baha'i-inspired and is open to writers of all backgrounds. Each year has a theme which participants are encouraged to explore in the pieces they create. This year's theme is FRIENDSHIP. The mediums we will learn about this year are writing Articles and drawing Comics. Each week will include:
* a Zoom call by one of your facilitators to introduce that week's medium
* two assignments to delve deeper into that medium. Assignments will be accessed and submitted through our online Google Classrooms platform, where participants will also receive feedback from facilitators.
* a mid-week call to ask questions of a professional in that medium
* an end of week call to present a piece you created in that medium to the group of friends and get feedback
At the end of the experience, we will also work together to host a Community Art Show where we can invite family and friends to enjoy the works of art we created together.
This year, the Baha'i world has put out a call to artists of all stripes to create works of art to commemorate the lives of 10 Baha'i women executed in Shiraz, Iran, 40 years ago for refusing to give up their Faith. This campaign is called #OurStoryIsOne. We will also talk about #OurStoryIsOne during this year's workshop and provide peer support to any participants considering to contribute with a work of art.
